A "not so quiet" Saturday.

Things are usually very quiet around here on the weekends as the construction crews aren't putting in any overtime (as of yet anyway).  but this morning there was plenty of activity as new houses were finding their way to their new nesting spots.  Here comes 1958 for Jerry and Becky Andrews.

All these new oleander bushes, vine plants, and trees have arrived for planting.  I don't know for sure where they're going yet but will find out more next week.  They're temporarily stored by the ballfield where they can be easily watered until planting time.

Gravel is removed so the dog agility area can be prepped for planting grass.

A new house has arrived at 748 just west of the south laundry.

Here's a spec home on its way to Site 1111 along the west wall.  It's always fun and exciting to see new houses drive down our streets.

Joan Barber came out to say farewell as they're finally heading out for summer.  They're really enjoying their new home at 1867 on Oasis.  Joan says she loves watching all the birds on the golf course.  I'm envious!!

Jerry MacDonald and his sidekick Molly were out to watch the new house action.

Avis Gray sent me this photo to celebrate the arrival of new chairs for the poker room.    We send a BIG HUGE thank you to the folks who gave the approval for new chairs in that room as they were much in need.

Don and I are babysitting a bunch of potted plants for people this summer.....so why not add some fish to that chore?  Perrie and Edie Preis left their aquarium for us to tend while they are away.  Our cat, Hiway, has volunteered to help with the project.  Wish us luck!

The forecast calls for us to be in triple digits for the foreseeable 10 day forecast.  This is a sample of our inclement weather but I'll certainly opt to endure the heat rather than the tornadoes and devastation that so much of the country is experiencing.  I hope all of you are safe and secure.  Are you in a storm area??  Send me some photos to post along with your story.
